Amber Riley Looks Back on Calling Off Her Engagement: 'I Don't Owe Anybody A Happily Ever After'

Amber Riley is looking back on breaking off her engagement to DeSean Black in a new interview.

The 37-year-old former Glee star confirmed last year that she and DeSean had ended their relationship after she said yes to his proposal in 2020.

In a new interview, Amber revealed that she's looking ahead and also shared that she has a new beau.

"The breakup was never going to stop me from finding love. Or at least trying," Amber shared with xoNecole for her cover story. "I don't owe anybody a happily ever after."

She added that "people break up. It happens. When it was good, it was good. When it was bad, it was terrible, hunny. I had to get the f*** up out of there," saying that once you find happiness, you should "enjoy it and work through it."

Amber is now dating a guy who goes by Scoobz on Instagram, and has been for about eight months.

"I decided to post him on Valentine's Day, partially because I was in the dog house. I got in trouble with him," she joked.
